One Busy Weekend

2014 has gotten off to a bang and we have been busier than ever.  In the past 2 weeks I have received 6 orders on Etsy for custom coffee tables.  I spent most of this week completing two of them.  On Friday I did not go out picking because I needed to meet the shipping deadline for one of the coffee tables.  On Saturday there were several sales to choose from.  I chose to shop a local semi-annual antique market.  It turned out to be the right choice as I found some amazing pieces.  On Saturday night we were up finishing an upholstery project until 10pm.  It was done just in time to bring it to Portland Flea on Sunday morning.  Portland Flea was a great success and we sold quite a few pieces.

I was amazed to find this recliner by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin.  We found a few of them last year but none of them had the original tag.  We are excited to restore this chair to its original glory.

Lately I have been staying away from industrial pieces but this one was well priced and meticulously cleaned.  I could not pass it up.  It was sold at Portland Flea.

Last bough not least I bought a piece for ourselves.  This Cathrineholm tea pot is a piece that we have been searching for a long time now.  It seems that the only pieces missing from our collection are incredibly rare and expensive.  I got the tea pot for a fair price compared to what they have been bringing on eBay lately.

Shop dog Millie spent the day with us at Portland Flea.  She got lots of attention and met many new friends.

Do to a great sales week did not bring as many pieces to the flea as we usually do.  However, it made for a nice minimalist display.  The lack of items did not seem to hamper our sales as most of the pieces were sold.

The teak sliding door credenza is one of our new items that is now available at Hawthorne Vintage.

This love seat is the piece that we worked on until 10pm on Saturday night.  It has been sold.

This beautiful lounge chair and walnut side table pairing sold quickly.

Our "deal of the day" was our sale on small with shelves of $10, $5, $2, and $1 pieces.
