Mid Century Mondays // 31

For the past few months I have not been buying smalls items much at all.  Because of that both of my shop spaces were nearly out of smalls.  This week I got an email from a reader of our blog inviting me over to purchase pieces from her collection.  In the end, I bought several dozen Danish teak smalls as well as several larger items.  Additionally, we had a successful weekend of shopping the many Portland area garage & estate sales. It's impossible to photograph everything we got but here are a few of the highlights.

My surprise find of the weekend was the mid century daybed (there is a second matching one too).  I has amazing original fabric in excellent condition.  I have seen another identical one attributed to Paul McCobb but I am not sure is this is correct.  It is certainly in the style of his design. Both have been sold.

Hamilton typesetter's tray was a flea market find on Sunday morning.  SOLD

 Atomic style planter stand.  SOLD.

Here is a sampling of the Danish smalls I bought from the collection earlier in the week.

We also finished a couple projects this weekend:

  2. Hi from Down Under! I love that round blue planter stand. I think my grandmother had something similar that rusted away at the bottom of the garden. Glad to have found your blog. The furniture in particular is wonderful. Thanks for hosting.

  4. That day bed is really cool. My neighbor had one that was belonged to the previous owner of his house, who was the original occupant since 1956. She liked his mid century style so much she just gave it to him! Crazy!
