Brasilia Collection

In 1962 Broyhill Furniture released their iconic Brasilia line.  The line was based on the architectural designs of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.  You can read more about Oscar Niemeyer and his designs in this article.  The Brasilia line is one of our favorite lines of American mid century furniture and we are always excited to find even one piece.  We are in the process of helping a family liquidate their estate.  They are the original owners of a wonderful Brasilia collection.  Here are a few pieces which are now available at Hawthorne Vintage.  The bar cart (left) reflects design elements that are found in the Brazilian presidential residence.  The cathedral coffee table (center) is strikingly similar to the architecture of the Cathedral of Brasilia.  Lastly the side table was inspired by the National Supreme Court building.  Please stay posted as more pieces are coming in over the next week.  Our prices can always be seen on our Hawthorne Vintage page.
